The annual sports festival "Khel Utsav 2026" for students was held at Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Karaikal district. The function was presided over by the Principal of the college, Dr. Aramuthan. The Chief Guest of the function was Shri. R. Kamaraj, International Volleyball player and Best Setter in the World and Asian Championships.
Dr. R. Kamaraj inaugurated the function. In his address, he urged the students to improve their physical strength and excel in sports and learn at least one sport. It will improve their habits, discipline and knowledge, he added.
Following this, the students of the college participated in various sports competitions and showcased their talents. Dr. P. Nandakumar, Assistant Professors and Sports Coordinators of the college, Dr. Rajaguru and Physical Education Director made the arrangements for the function. All the faculty and staff of the college participated in the function. Medals and certificates were distributed to the winning students.
