Under the initiative of the Ministry of Law and Justice and under the guidance of the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, the PKIET and Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College has jointly inaugurated "Nyaya Oli Club” at Perunthalaivar Kamarajar College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikal. The function was held on Monday, 09.03.2026 from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm in the seminar hall.
The programme was presided over by the Principal Dr. M. Aramudhan. Further, a legal awareness programme was organized to make the students aware of the law. The Chief Guest Dr. Vijayan, Project Director, Nyaya Oli Club, Puducherry delivered the special address. He elaborated on the importance of students acquiring basic knowledge of the law, rights of citizens and duties of students.
Mr. Dr. In his address, Dr. Varadarajan stressed on the importance for students to know the law and also highlighted that cybercrimes should be avoided, ragging is completely banned, road safety rules should be strictly followed and students should be aware of their rights and duties
The event was organized by the coordinator of the college, Dr. P. Nandakumar, Assistant Professor. All the professors, staff and students of the college participated in this programme in large numbers.
