Teachers’ Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and reverence at Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Institute of Engineering and Technology (PKIET) on September 4, 2026, at the institute’s Seminar Hall. The programme was organised to commemorate Teachers’ Day and to highlight the invaluable role played by teachers in shaping the academic, professional, and personal development of students.


The celebration was graced by Dr. M. Aramudhan, Principal, PKIET; Dr. G. Vasudevan, Vice Principal; Dr. S. Bhuvaneswari, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering; and Dr. P. Nandakumar, First Year Coordinator, along with faculty members and students of the institute.


During the programme, the dignitaries and faculty members delivered informative and inspiring addresses highlighting the significance of Teachers’ Day and the noble contribution of teachers to society. The speakers emphasised that teachers play a vital role not only in imparting knowledge but also in nurturing discipline, values, confidence, creativity, and a sense of responsibility among students. They encouraged the students to respect and acknowledge the efforts of their teachers and to make the best use of the guidance and opportunities provided to them during their academic journey.


The speakers also shared valuable insights and experiences with the students, motivating them to pursue their goals with dedication, perseverance, and a positive attitude. The programme provided an opportunity for students to recognise and appreciate the commitment of the teaching community towards education and nation-building. The Teachers’ Day celebration concluded on a meaningful note, reinforcing the strong bond between teachers and students and the enduring importance of teachers in shaping responsible and successful citizens.
