Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Institute of Engineering & Technology (PKIET) started functioning as an constituent college of Puducherry Technological University (PTU) from the academic year 2020-21. All the students admitted to the B.Tech., courses from the academic year 2020-21, are governed by the Rules and Regulations approved by the Academic Council of Puducherry Technological University (PTU).

Research

The following faculty members are recognized Supervisors by the Pondicherry University to guide candidates leading to Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science & Engineering.

  1. Dr. P. Thambidurai, Professor of CSE & IT and Principal
  2. Dr. M. Aramudhan, Associate Professor / IT

So far 14 candidates have been awarded Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering under the guidance of Prof. P. Thambidurai and presently Two more research scholars are pursuing under him. 

All the staff members of this Institute who do not possess Ph.D. are pursuing Research in various Universities.
